Medical Massage

Medical Massage differs from regular Massage and Bodywork in that the treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions diagnosed by a medical doctor.  We may use a variety of modalities or techniques during the treatment, but focus the treatment only on the specific areas of the body related to the diagnosis.  This enhances the body’s natural self-healing process and reduces the needed recovery time from injury.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.

Myofascial Massage

Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These "knots" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

Along with the use of hydrotherapy, the use of paraffin wax therapy can be traced all the way back to the Roman Empire.  In those ancient times, the Romans would pour hot waxes on the body in preparation for massage therapy.  Later the French embraced paraffin therapy by melting paraffin wax and spreading it on wounds to accelerate healing.  In World War I, the British used paraffin wax therapy as a protocol to treat orthopedic disorders in military hospitals.  In modern times, paraffin therapy is quite common and widely used to aid in the treatment of conditions such as the following:

  • Arthritis
  • Bursitis
  • Eczema
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Fibrositis
  • Inflammation
  • Muscle Spasms
  • Overworked/Fatigued Muscles
  • Psoriasis
  • Scar Tissue
  • Stiff Joints
  • Tendonitis
  • Tennis Elbow
  • And more…

One of the overlooked benefits of paraffin therapy is that it soothes and moisturizes the skin, opens pores, increases circulation, and promotes a sense of calmness.

Thai Massage

Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than most other forms of massage therapy. It's also called Thai Yoga massage, because I use my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches. My clients say Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work. No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed during the session. A single Thai massage session will help you release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home.

Facial Massage

$45 per session

Our facial massages focus on sinus pressure points to alleviate congestion and relax facial muscles. They also do wonders for those with TMJ syndrome. Our certified massage therapists use creams and products specifically designed to cleanse your delicate skin without over drying or causing oiliness. We use a moisturizing cleanser to start along with hot towels for the face. This is followed with other clear skin friendly products for a rejuvenating experience that make you feel like a goddess. *Please note that facial massages are not facials where an esthetician would preform extraction etc. Please contact a licensed esthetician for facials. This is a facial massage treatment.
